Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Any update with Windows Vista? I am running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Dell Laptop Inspiron 6400 with an Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG centrino adapter. I went to this site http://www.micro-logix.com/WinPcap/Supported.asp that states that many people have found success using this wireless adapter to capture network information.

Though I am knowledgeable in networking I still need some guidance.
1) Should I replace the replace the Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG driver with the commview as suggested? Where do I get the commview driver?

2) Do I still need to use the Windows GUI program Wireshark network Analyzer using this method or BackTrack at all? Or can I just use the Airserv-ng, Airplay-ng and Aircrack-ng command lines for the entire process in Windows?

3) How would I be able to tell if my Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG atually is capable of capuring IVs, are the steps different for Windows Vista Ultimate.

Any suggestions and/or information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

"Save the file as a .cap file. This is important! Omnipeeks native file format is .apc which aircrack and Wireshark can’t read!" The question is How to save it as .cap file in omnipeek personal 4.1? I get no option to save it in .cap format.

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

mdk3-v3 by ASPj also can be ported to cygwin and can work with airserv-ng so that the mdk3 functionality can work on windows. "MDK is a proof-of-concept tool to exploit common IEEE 802.11 protocol weaknesses." Download the cygwin port of MDK3 v3

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

After some long testing and tweaking, i got this to work on vista by installing the commview for wifi application with the driver first then running "airserv-ng -d commview.dll" command [ignore the quotes]. After this everything else worked fine…

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

How can i use the prog with this card broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN (bcm4***) I am using windows xp I hope you answ me 🙂 I try to find out but i didn’t find anything

7

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

broadcom is a fuckd up card and not all bcm cards support injection so its better you get a new card which fully supports injection, something like Dlink DWL-650

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

to Broadcom: Ouu yeah.. Holly true..

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Is there any thing I can do to find one network key with this card? 🙁

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Hi. You can try to solve the problem with Wifislax Linux 3 or 3.1. It supports a lot of minor chipsets.

11

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

I try it bud i couldn’t use it …. 🙁 is in Spanish …anw i try to install the chipset but nothing happened ???

Someone help me? Thanks

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Change the operating system. Linux may work with your card. BackTrack or WiFiSlax it’s possible to run like Live system to check up the compatibility with your card

lsmod

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

There are so many people trying to hack WEP when they don’t know the first thing about drivers

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Hey, is .dmp OmniPeek file format the same as .dump in the aircrack-ng output? Does OmniPeek 4.1 have any limitation? Since it’s a freeware version.

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

It’s funny how so much people dont expect anything to be free 🙂

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Hello! I have loaded Packet injection Aireplay-ng for Windows XP from your site in December 2007. Thanks you, packet works well, but I have two questions:
1) the Command: airserv-ng-d commview.dll-p 12345-c 6 does not identify wifi adapter.и does not work.

2) the Command: airserv-ng-d " commview.dll|debug-p 12345-c 6-identifies and works very well.

And the Command: aircrack-ng *.ivs, does errors on 64 bit, and on 128 bit all works well. Explain to me why it occurs?

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Re: Discussion Aireplay-ng Packet Injection Windows

Hi, I am very new to this field, but I have just been assign with a homework to crack WEP on an set up AP.

I have browse through the web try to find a tutorial on how things should be done in Window, and the 1st choice was to do it with Netstumbler and aircrack. I have encounter a problem when I try to use the airodump.exe to catch packets, because my NIC is Intel PRO/Wireless 2200GB network connection and the Omnipeek does not support that. It was wonder to learn from you that Commview will do the trick, thanks for the tip, but I am stuck again trying to run
airserv-ng -d commview.dll -p 12345 -c 6
airserv-ng -d "commview.dll|debug" -p 12345 -c 6

none of these worked, I have used ca2k.dll since this is the one I found in the commview, I have save it under the same folder as the aircrack. I have a few question want you to help me with as well:

1) should I first capture the packets with the Commview and then do the command mention above? After I do capture in Commview, I found that the source and destination IP were all in ??, it is normal?
2) After I have save the log of my capturing, will I be able to load it directly to the aircrack for analysis and cracking the key? If so, how should I do it.
3) After retrieving of the encryption key, I am assigned to download a file from the host computer, how do I complete this?

It will be great if you will be able to tutorial me through the problem, looking forward to hear from you soon since I have deadline to meet.

Thanks
