Hello. I have seen an application where you can connect just using the MAC address of the Access Point, but I don’t remember it’s name. It sure was a linux application though.
You have two options. You can use aireplay-ng and disasociate a client from the Access Point. When it reconnects, it uses the ESSID and thats where you sniff it with airodump-ng. Kismet can sniff it too. Some client will reassociate with the network at some point. – that’s the passive method
