Topic: Crack WEP key laptop Asus A7S chipset Broadcom

Hi, I have a similar problem like in discussion Asus A7S. I also want to get on WEP, but I’m also a beginner. I have ASUS series F5, wifi writes that it is asus 802.11g but the entrepreneur is Broadcom Corporation (bcmwl5.sys). I have Windows XP (because of compatibility) but I want to install Gutsy Gibbon. Its not because the games and similar stuff but I have it for work. I also have live Backtrack and live Ophcrack that I use for password cracking.

Is it possible with chipsetem Broadcom crack WEP key? Thanx for help in advance.

Hi. I have found your question at the end of one solved thread. Even if you have the same or similar probem put it in a new (your own) discussion, otherwise your query might be over looked.

The only distribution I know about that supports chipset Broadcom is Wifislax. It is a Spanish Linux. You can download the ISO and test it with your WiFi card. Ps: There is already available a Czech version Wifislax
